It was a great honor to be selected among the "best wedding photographer 2022" in the IWPOTY contest (International Wedding Photographer Of The Year Awards). A contest involving a very small group of photographers from all over the world, chosen among those who participated in the competition by sending a total of more than 1700 shots. Among these, the best 150 were selected, nine were those I made.
One of these (photo below) even took first place, as the winner of the “Solo Portrait” category. The portrait of a single person attending the wedding, in my case the bride, wrapped in her veil due to a strong wind, in the foreground with respect to the trulli in the background.
The other 8 ranked among the top 15 in the categories “From Above, “Solo Portrait”, “Epic Location”, “Engagement”, “Black and White” and “Single Capture”.
For the third consecutive year I participated in the IWPOTY contest which rewards those who have distinguished themselves as the best wedding photographer. Every year I ranked among the winners. The first time I participated in 2019 I was the second place winner with an album, or an entire wedding story See here. Then I participated again in 2020 finishing in the "Dance Floor" category with a photograph (below). The result for 2022 was truly unexpected.
Winning for a category and having 8 other photographs among the first 15, in a contest among the best wedding photographers, is something I really could not imagine, if we also add that Matteo, my husband, colleague and partner has achieved exceptional results with a winner for one category and another 8 among the top 15. But that's not all, Matteo he ranked 2nd as “Best Wedding Photographer of the year”.
We brought home great satisfaction!
