Destination wedding in Italia

Destination wedding in Italy is the name used to define all those weddings in which the spouses choose to organize the wedding in a country (or in some cases in a region) other than their own, in this case in Italy, with all the guests and transforming the wedding into a real holiday for a few days.

Italy, in recent years, has become one of the favorite destinations for destination weddings, because it is loved by foreigners.

But in reality, the destination wedding in Italy does not concern only foreign spouses. It also concerns all those very Italian couples who choose a region, a province, a city other than their own as the setting for their wedding, or those very Italian couples who have been living abroad for years now and choose to return to the place of origin of their families for their most beautiful day.

Organizing an entire weekend is almost a must and that's what makes the difference. In fact, it is unlikely that, by asking all the guests to move, the wedding will take place in a single day.

It very often happens that a destination wedding in Italy is a more intimate wedding limited to a few guests (intimate wedding), even just the family, or an elopement of 4 people, the bride and groom and witnesses.

The fact is that it is now a real experience, because after a long journey to get there, you choose to linger longer to visit the wonders that our land offers, eat local specialities, drink local wines, visit historical sites and the natural wonders of the area, whether they are vineyards, olive groves, woods or beaches.

HOW TO ORGANIZE A DESTINATION WEDDING IN ITALY

For the weekend to be successful it is important that the guests all stay in the same place. You cannot scatter the guests in many different places, because you would totally lose the atmosphere of the group which is instead the basis of success in this type of event.

The ideal way to create the right atmosphere and put guests at ease is to have the event take place in the same place. marriage too, ceremony and reception.

Everything, absolutely everything, must be typical of the place. Guests must be immersed in the atmosphere that reigns in that specific place. Only in this way will an indelible memory remain.

GIOVANNI AND JESSICA FROM AMERICA TO CAMPANIA

I met Giovanni and Jessica in 2019 when their wedding planner "Grillo Eventi" contacted me because they had chosen me as their wedding photographer. Giovanni originally from Caserta and American Jessica, nomads for work for several years and then definitively American citizens.

They chose to have their destination wedding in Italy, to celebrate together with the groom's family originally from the Caserta area.

They were supposed to get married in 2020, but moving half of their guests from America to Italy with the many restrictions of 2020 and those of 2021 would not have been feasible. In 2021 we met in person, on the occasion of their coming to Italy to plan the destination wedding. On that occasion we made a couple photo shoot (which you can see here here).

Finally this year they crowned their dream!
